Teaching Techniques of Sudha
Smt. Sudha Harikrishnan is a disciple of Dr. Karaikudi S. Subramanian, Founder and Director of Brhaddhvani - (A Non-Profit Organization)
How did her bond with music deepen being with Brhaddhvani. She says.... “I was able to imitate the music I heard.....it is at Brhaddhvani that I broke the invisible glass ceiling to feel the music. This was possible due to the scientific methods and the ability it developed in me – to analyze and learn whatever was taught, COMET has enabled me to become what I am in music.” She learnt music from the scratch and this time only for the foundations to be strengthened. She discovered her range to 3.5 octaves. Talam, range, voice culture… every ‘barrier of understanding’ was broken by scientifically analyzing the requirements. She has also learnt to play the Veena at Brhaddhvani. Abilities acquired through COMET in Brhaddhvani..(listed a few)…. Ability to correct self, during practice sessions. More than 20 years in Inter and intra-cultural workshops enabled to discover music of other parts of the world.
